Daniel S. Kaplan has prepared a video on the evolution of endurance running

Daniel S. Kaplan has prepared a video and a thesis paper on The Evolutionary Experiences of an Ultramarathon Runner  for his Master’s in Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago. 

The video and paper show what is involved with running a 100 mile ultramarathon and offers insight into why he and others are compelled to run really long distances.
